Everything You Need to Know About the World Book Fair 2025
New Delhi: The World Book Fair 2025 is an important event for literature lovers, which will be held from February 1 to February 9 at Bharat Mandapam Delhi. This year’s fair will be dedicated to the 75th Republic Day, and will see the participation of 50 countries. The fair will be a great platform to connect India’s cultural heritage and future aspirations.
Inauguration and keynote addresses-
President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate this year’s book fair. More than 2,000 publishers and over 1,000 speakers will be a part of the fair. This year Russia has been chosen as the main country of the fair. Apart from this, prominent personalities like Pankaj Tripathi, Shashi Tharoor, Kumar Vishwas, Prakash Jha, and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will attend the fair.
Literary events and workshops-
This year’s fair will be full of literary events. Important events like ‘Brahmaputra Literature Festival’, ‘Bharat Sahitya Mahotsav’, ‘Penguin Dialogues’ and ‘APJ Kolkata Literary Festival’ will be organized in parallel.
Special events for children-
The ‘Children’s Corner’ will host special activities for children, which will include storytelling programmes, literature, art, dance and craft workshops. This initiative will provide a great opportunity for children to develop an interest in books and literature.
Tickets and Entry-
The ticket price for the World Book Fair has been fixed at Rs 20 per person, while for children it is Rs 10. Entry will be free for students and senior citizens coming in school uniform.

Fair Timings and Entry Gates-
The World Book Fair will open from 11 am to 8 pm. Entry to the fair can be made from Gate No. 10, Gate No. 4, and Gate No. 6. Wheelchair facility will also be available for persons with special needs.
