IMA Announced No treatment under Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Haryana

Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a very popular scheme of the central government, under which people are given free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh through Ayushman card. However, now the facility of treatment under Ayushman Bharat Yojana is going to be stopped in 600 private hospitals in Haryana from February 3. This announcement has been made by the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

According to IMA, the Haryana government has not yet paid Rs 450 crore to these hospitals under this scheme. So far only 10-15% of the amount has been paid, due to which these hospitals will not provide treatment to patients under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The IMA delegation has already met Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, but no solution has been found so far.

On this issue, the Chief Minister of Haryana gave a statement that the government has paid Rs 786 crore to the doctors of IMA on January 26 and about Rs 200 crore is still pending, which will be released as soon as possible.
