Jammu Kashmir gets 41,000 Crores, Good News for Kashmirians

Jammu Kashmir Budget 2025-26: Central government on Saturday presented the budget for the next financial year 2025-26 today. In this, an allocation of Rs 41000.07 crore was proposed for the Union Territory Jammu Kashmir. Let us tell you that the budget of Jammu Kashmir has not been increased this year.

Out of Rs 41000.07 crore released to Jammu and Kashmir, Rs 40619.30 crore has been given as central assistance to fill the resource gap. At the same time, Rs 101.77 crore has been allocated to fill the resource gap for infrastructure projects, Rs 279 crore as grant for contribution to the Union Territory Disaster Response Fund.

Rs 9325 crore has been allocated for Jammu and Kashmir Police. Out of this, Rs 8897.72 crore has been kept for revenue expenditure and Rs 428.01 crore for capital expenditure. The said budget has been kept to meet the administrative expenses of the police because the police is responsible for maintaining law and order in Jammu and Kashmir.
