Ahead of the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, a major setback has come for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Arvind Kejriwal. 8 AAP MLAs have announced to leave the party and join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). These MLAs were angry over not getting tickets this time. The MLAs who resigned include Rajesh Rishi, Naresh Yadav, Bhavana Gaur, Rohit Mehraulia, among others.
All the 8 MLAs who resigned from AAP joined the BJP on Saturday in the presence of Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva. Assembly elections are to be held in Delhi on February 5, and the results will be declared on February 8. Even before this development, the BJP has created a new political crisis for the Aam Aadmi Party. These 8 MLAs had resigned accusing AAP of corruption, which has weakened the party’s position.
In the list of MLAs who resigned:
Rajesh Rishi (Janakpuri MLA)
Naresh Yadav (Mehrauli MLA)
Bhavna Gaur (Palam MLA)
Rohit Mehraulia (Trilokpuri MLA)
