Punjab Home Guard Salary Increased from 26 January

Punjab Home Guard Salary Increased: Good news for the Punjab Home Guard jawans that they are going to get a hike in their salary from 26 January 2025. Now, instead of Rs 1100.69 per day, they will get a salary of Rs 1424.69 per day.

This change is for the employees of the Home Guard department, who are posted from 7 July 2020. A letter was issued by the Special DGP regarding this announcement, which clearly states that the salary hike of the Home Guard jawans will be applicable from 26 January.

History of Punjab Home Guard has been very struggling and glorious. It was established in December 1946, but actually when there was a period of terrorism in Punjab, the Home Guard jawans got a chance to work in the field. They fought against terrorism shoulder to shoulder with the Punjab Police, and during this many soldiers were also martyred.

At present, there are about 10,000 jawans deployed in the Punjab Home Guard department, and Ludhiana has two companies, rural and urban, which ensure the security of police stations and other sensitive places. The decision to increase the salary is said to be based on a petition filed in the court by a jawan named Karnail Singh.
