Haryana men’s team wins gold in Under-23 National Basketball Championship

Chandigarh, March 25- Haryana men’s team won the gold medal by defeating Punjab’s team in the final match at the first Under-23 National Basketball Championship held in Guwahati, Assam. The competition was held from March 18 to March 24.

Haryana’s team won the gold medal by defeating Punjab’s team 94-73 in the final match. Haryana’s team performed brilliantly in the competition and defeated Karnataka in the semi-finals, Tamil Nadu in the quarter-finals, Bihar in the pre-quarterfinals and Meghalaya, West Bengal and Chandigarh teams in their league matches.

Under the leadership of captain Sahil Taya, the team performed brilliantly in all the matches. Players Rajan, Deependra, Ankush, Rahul, Ajay and Lakshya also performed excellently.
