Ayushman Bharat will not be available in 600 private hospitals of Haryana from February 3

Patients will not get free treatment under Ayushman Bharat scheme from February 3 in about 600 private hospitals of Haryana. The reason for this is that the state government has not yet paid Rs 400 crore to these hospitals. Indian Medical Association (IMA) Haryana has made a big announcement in this regard.

It is worth noting that about 1300 hospitals in Haryana are listed under Ayushman Bharat Yojana, including more than 600 private hospitals. About 1.2 crore people of the state are registered under this scheme. The central government launched this scheme in 2018, under which every family gets free health facilities up to Rs 5 lakh annually. This includes all the necessary medical services like investigation, treatment and surgery.

IMA Haryana President Dr. Mahavir Jain said that the payment has not been made by the government for months, due to which the hospitals are facing severe financial crisis. He said that it has become extremely difficult to run hospitals without funds. Doctors and hospital management have demanded the government to immediately release the outstanding payment of Rs 400 crore, so that patients do not face any kind of problem.
