Punjab Closed: Government order issued, these shops will remain closed for 2 days

Punjab Closed: Prakashotsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji will be celebrated with great pomp on February 12, while a Shobha Yatra will be taken out in Jalandhar on February 11. To ensure that this occasion is celebrated in a peaceful and reverent manner, the district administration has banned the sale of meat and liquor on February 11 and 12 around the Shobha Yatra route and religious ceremony site.

District Magistrate Jalandhar, Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, while issuing the order, said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the religious sentiments of the people in view of the Prakashotsav and Shobha Yatra of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji. Due to this, instructions have been given to keep the related shops closed (shops Closed in Punjab) on February 11 and 12.

This decision has been taken with the aim of maintaining the dignity of religious events and respecting the sentiments of the devotees. The administration has appealed to the people for cooperation so that Prakashotsav and Shobha Yatra can be completed without any hindrance.
