Punjab Closed: A huge procession will be taken out in Pathankot city on February 10, 2025 to commemorate the Prakashotsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji. Keeping this event in mind, many traffic routes of the city have been changed so that the journey can be completed smoothly.
Punjab Closed: Half day holiday in schools
Keeping in mind the religious sentiments of the city residents and the convenience and safety of school-college students, the district administration has declared a half day holiday in all government and non-government schools and colleges falling under Pathankot district. This holiday will be after noon, so that the students can return home without any inconvenience. However, this order will not be applicable in schools and colleges where board or university examinations are scheduled.
Official orders have been issued in this regard by the Deputy Commissioner Pathankot, and the concerned departments including the District Education Officer have also been informed about it. The administration has made all the necessary security arrangements to ensure the successful completion of the procession.
The citizens have been appealed to maintain peace and harmony on this auspicious occasion and follow the instructions of the administration.
