ISRO launched navigation satellite NVS-02: Indian Space Agency ISRO launched NVS-02 satellite through GSLV-F15 from Sriharikota Space Center.

This is ISRO’s 100th launching mission.

NVS-02 has been placed in geosynchronous transfer orbit.

It is part of the Satellite Navigation System, which is designed to enhance navigation facilities like GPS in India.

This system will cover the area from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Gujarat to Arunachal.

Also, a distance of up to 1500 km from the coastal line will also be covered. This will provide better navigation help for air, sea and road travel.

Indian Space Research Organization- ISRO was established on 15 August 1969.

‘Laapataa Ladies’ nominated for Japan Academy Film Award: Aamir Khan Productions and Kiran Rao’s directorial debut ‘Laapataa Ladies‘ has been selected for the Best International category at the Japan Academy Film Award 2024.

Laapataa Ladies‘ has been selected as one of the top 5 films out of 204 international films released in Japan in the year 2024.

This includes Kiran Rao’s ‘Missing Ladies’, Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’, Yorgos Lanthimos’ ‘Poor Things’, Jonathan Glazer’s ‘The Zone of Interest’ and Alex Garland’s ‘Civil War’.

The Missing Ladies film is produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions.

The story of the film is written by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Desai.

The film ‘Laapataa Ladies‘ was released in theaters on March 1, 2024.

Beating the Retreat ceremony held at Vijay Chowk in Delhi: Beating the Retreat ceremony was held today, 29 January, at Vijay Chowk in Delhi.

President Draupadi Murmu attended the ceremony as the chief guest.

During this, patriotic tunes were performed by the bands of the three armies and CAPF.

In this, the bands of Army, Navy, Air Force and CAPF performed wonderful tunes.

8th International Saraswati Mahotsav started: The 8th International Saraswati Mahotsav started today, 29 January, at Saraswati Teerth in Pehowa, Kurukshetra, Haryana.

    This festival, which started from Adi Badri, will conclude in Pehowa.

    This 7-day festival will run from 29 January to 4 February.

    This seven-day festival will be celebrated on the lines of Geeta Mahotsav.

    Rajasthan has been made the state partner in the festival.

    On 12 February 2016, the then CM Manohar Lal Khattar had announced to celebrate the festival at the international level in the year 2018 during the Saraswati Mahotsav closing ceremony organized by Saraswati Heritage Development Board.

    Alexander Lukashenko becomes President of Belarus for the 7th time: Russia’s ally Alexander Lukashenko has been re-elected as President of Belarus on January 27.

      Lukashenko received 86.8 percent of the vote.

      There were four other candidates against him – Sergei Sirankov (3.21%), Oleg Gaidukevich (2.02%), Anna Kanopatskaya (1.86) and Alexander Khizhnyak (1.74%).

      Here the President is elected through direct elections every five years and the candidate who gets more than 50% of the votes is declared the winner.

      The term of the President in Belarus is 5 years.

      The last election here was held on August 9, 2020, in which Alexander Lukashenko got 80.1 percent of the vote.

      Serbia’s Prime Minister resigns: Serbia’s Prime Minister Milos Vucevic resigned from his post on 28 January due to corruption charges against him.

        In fact, a part of the roof of the railway station in Novi Sad, Serbia’s second largest city, collapsed on November 1, killing fifteen people.

        After this incident, protests against the government started in the country. Thousands of people took to the streets and started demanding accountability for this incident.

        According to Serbian law, after the resignation of the Prime Minister, it should be approved by the Parliament of Serbia.

        After approval, the Prime Minister should be elected within 30 days. If this does not happen, then general elections can be held.
