Mahakumbh Stampede live update. Due to the stampede on the Sangam coast before Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, the All India Akhada Parishad had earlier decided to cancel the holy royal bath to be held today. But after talking to CM Yogi, all the akhadas have reached a consensus. This decision was taken with the consent of all 13 akhadas, and now all the akhadas will take Amrit bath after 11 am.
Akhada Parishad President Ravindra Puri said that the bath of sadhus and saints and Naga sadhus was to start at 4 am today, but before that the news of the stampede came. According to tradition, the Naga sadhus of Mahanirvana Akhara take bath first, who had already reached the Mahakumbh premises. However, due to security reasons, they were also stopped from going to the Sangam coast.
Mahakumbh Stampede: 30 people dead till now
So far 30 people have died in the stampede in Mahakumbh. Relief and rescue work is going on rapidly. Prime Minister Modi has spoken to CM Yogi twice. In such a situation, the Akhadas have also appealed to the people to take bath on whichever bank they are on. Everyone’s safety is the biggest priority.
Special appeal made to the devotees
The Akhada Parishad has appealed to the devotees to follow the instructions of the administration and avoid crowding. Parishad President Ravindra Puri said, “We are saddened by the incident that happened. Devotees are requested to come for bathing on Basant Panchami instead of Mauni Amavasya. Bathing can be done at any ghat of the Ganga, so do not try to go towards Sangam Nose.”
He also said that it is not the fault of the administration, because it is not easy to handle millions of devotees in such a big event. He appealed to the devotees to cooperate with the officials and told that adequate security arrangements have been made, but the situation became challenging due to the sudden increase in the crowd.
Historic Maha Kumbh is being held after 144 years

According to the organizers, so far more than 15 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in the Ganga. More than 10 crore devotees were expected to come on Mauni Amavasya alone, but due to the stampede, the administration has taken extra caution and intensified efforts to control the situation.
