YouTube deleted not only videos, but also 4.8 million channels. Most of these channels were created to spread spam and fraud. When a channel is removed. All its videos also disappear from the platform. Under this large-scale action, more than 54 million (5.4 crore) videos were removed from YouTube.
1.2 billion comments also deleted
YouTube removed 1.2 billion comments from its platform, most of which were spam. Some comments were deleted due to harassment, hate speech or threats.
