Weather Alert- As winter tightens its grip, weather patterns across India are rapidly changing. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for rain, thunderstorms, and dense fog across 20 states, with a fresh Western Disturbance set to become active from February 3. A cyclonic circulation over northern Pakistan and another over eastern Rajasthan are likely to influence the weather across multiple regions. IMD has predicted:
- Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand – Light to moderate rain and snowfall expected.
- Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab – Scattered showers between February 3-5.
- Haryana, Chandigarh – Rainfall likely on February 3 & 4.
- Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh – Intermittent rain from February 3-5.
- Lakshadweep – Thunderstorms with moderate rainfall expected.

With the Western Disturbance in play, several states will experience thick fog in the mornings and evenings. The IMD has issued warnings for:
