Due to the ongoing cold wave and severe winter conditions, the District Magistrate has extended school holidays once again. All schools up to Class 8 will remain closed, including CBSE, ICSE, secondary, and all government and private institutions. The schools are now scheduled to reopen on January 18. Additionally, schools have been permitted to conduct online classes at their discretion, and teachers can work as per the instructions of the school management.
Schools Closed Until January 17 for Classes Up to 8
Considering the likelihood of a cold wave, the DM has declared holidays for schools up to Class 8 across all boards until January 17. District Basic Education Officer Jitendra Kumar God informed that, as per the order, all government, government-aided, unaided, recognized secondary schools, and CBSE and ICSE board schools will remain closed during this period. Schools are required to notify parents of the extended holidays. Strict action will be taken against any school found operating during this time.
