Haryana News: Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the railway administration has installed 5 Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM) at Ambala railway station. With this, now passengers will not have to stand in long lines to get tickets.
Now passengers will be able to book tickets through digital payment by scanning QR code. Earlier online booking was available only for reserved tickets, but now Tatkal tickets can also be easily booked. This facility will help passengers to save time as well as start the journey faster.
How will ATVM machines work?
According to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (SR DCM) of Railways, passengers can book tickets for any station by scanning the QR code, and the payment will be deducted directly from their account. If for any reason the ticket is not booked, the money will be refunded within 24 hours.
While this new step of the railway administration will provide great relief to the passengers, employment opportunities will also increase. The ticket booking process through ATVM will become faster and more convenient than before, providing a better experience to passengers.
