Schools Closed in Bihar Tomorrow: Patna District Administration has announced the closure of all government and private schools up to class 8 due to extreme cold weather. This directive also applies to pre-schools and Anganwadi centers. The closure, effective from January 24, 2025, will last until January 25. During this period, students in higher classes will attend school from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, while board exam-related activities remain unaffected.
The District Magistrate, Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, issued the orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, as a precautionary measure to safeguard students’ health. Earlier, similar holidays were granted by authorities in response to the harsh winter conditions in the region.
Expected Reopening Dates for Patna Schools
Schools for lower grades are expected to reopen on Monday, January 27, 2025. This comes after the Republic Day holiday on January 26, which falls on a Sunday.
