School Closed Again for 2 Days in this state due to severe cold, DM Ordered

Siwan: Bihar is experiencing severe cold. In many districts, the temperature is below 15 degrees. On Wednesday, the temperature in Siwan was also 16 degrees. Due to the indifference of the district administration, small children suffered from the cold.

However, after realizing it later, DM Mukul Kumar Gupta ordered to keep all government and private schools, coaching places and Anganwadi centers up to class 8 closed for two days.

Small children shivering in the cold went to school in the mist and thick fog

On Wednesday, along with the fall in temperature, icy winds were blowing. There was mist and thick fog all around. Meanwhile, small children wearing school uniforms were forced to go to school with bags on their backs.

Actually, the district administration had ordered the closure of schools till January 18. There was a Sunday holiday on January 19. All schools opened from Monday, January 20. While the temperature dropped even more. Despite this, children were forced to go to school.

What did the DM say in the order to close the school

The cold weather and low temperature in Siwan district, especially the cold wave in the morning and evening, is likely to have an adverse effect on the health and life of children. Due to which educational activities in classes up to class 8 in all government and private schools (including pre-schools / Anganwadi centers) of the district will be banned from January 23 to January 24, 2025.

At the same time, classes above 8 will be conducted between 10 am to 03.30 pm while taking appropriate precautions. The operation of special classes conducted for board exams will be exempted from this order.
