UP School Closed Schools will remain closed due to kanwar yatra 2025: Due to the holy Kanwar Yatra to be held in the month of Sawan, it has been decided to close schools in many districts of Uttar Pradesh from July 16. Schools will remain closed till July 23 in these districts of UP including Meerut. The District Magistrates of the concerned districts have issued orders in this regard.

Schools have been closed in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar in view of heavy crowd and traffic obstruction during Kanwar Yatra 2025. Schools will remain closed till July 23 in these districts of UP including Meerut. The District Magistrates of the concerned districts have issued orders in this regard.
Meerut School Holiday: Schools closed in Meerut
Meerut DM Dr. V.K. Singh has issued an order that in view of the Kanwar Yatra, there will be a holiday in all recognized schools—government, private, UP Board, CBSE and ICSE—from July 16 to 23. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the possible tension and crowd during the yatra. Schools will open normally from July 24. The DM has warned that if any school violates the order, strict action will be taken against it.
Muzaffarnagar School Closed: Schools closed in Muzaffarnagar
The District Magistrate of Muzaffarnagar has declared a holiday in all government and private schools of the district from July 16 to 23 in view of the Kanwar Yatra. On the instructions of the DM, District School Inspector (DIOS) Rajesh Kumar has issued orders to all educational institutions of council, secondary, degree and technical boards. This order will also apply to schools recognized by UP, CBSE and ICSE boards. The administration has clarified that if any government or non-government school is found open in violation of these instructions, strict action will be taken against it.
