JAC 10th 12th exam cancelled due to Shab-e-Barat holiday

JAC 10th 12th Exam: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has decided to postpone the 10th and 12th board examinations due to the holiday declared on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat. The examinations to be held on 23 February will now be conducted on 4 March 2024. This change will affect those students whose examination was scheduled on this date.

According to the statement issued by JAC, the examination of regional languages ​​​​(Kharia, Khortha, Kurmali, Nagpuri and Panch Pargania) was to be held for the students of class 10, while the compulsory main language paper was scheduled for the students of class 12. Now all these examinations will be conducted on March 4. The board has clarified that all the remaining examinations will be held as per their scheduled schedule.

The board examinations of class 10th and 12th in Jharkhand have started from Tuesday as per the previously scheduled schedule. This year, a total of more than 7.84 lakh students have registered for the exam. To make the examinations fair and transparent, CCTV cameras have been installed at examination centers across the state and strict security arrangements have been implemented. Special guidelines have been issued to prevent cheating, so that the sanctity of the examination is maintained.

JAC has appealed to the students to avoid any kind of rumors and keep in touch with the official website of JAC and their schools for accurate information related to the exam. The board has also clarified that only the examination of February 23 has been postponed, all other examinations will be held as per their pre-scheduled schedule.
