The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a multi-hazard warning for 19 April 2025. In this warning, there is a possibility of heatwave, hot and humid weather, thunderstorm and lightning, heavy rainfall, hailstorm and duststorm in different parts of the country.
Severe situation (Orange Alert): There is a possibility of thunderstorm and hailstorm in some parts of northern India like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. People in these areas have been advised to be cautious and take necessary safety measures.
Caution (Yellow Alert): There is a possibility of rain with lightning, light hailstorm and strong winds in some parts of Central India, Eastern India and South India. There is also a possibility of light to moderate storm in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Heat wave warning: Heat wave is likely in parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and western Uttar Pradesh. Elderly, children and sick people have been advised to take special precautions.
No warning: The weather is likely to remain normal in Goa, Kerala, Karnataka, Andaman-Nicobar Islands and north-eastern states and no specific warning has been issued.
