Delhi Weather Today: Rain Intensifies Cold in Delhi-NCR, IMD Issues Yellow Alert; 29 Trains Running Late

New Delhi: Rain in Delhi-NCR has increased the chill, causing inconvenience in various areas. The rain has added to commuters’ challenges, especially at New Delhi railway station.

Challenges at New Delhi Station

Rain caused significant problems for people at the New Delhi railway station. However, the fog subsided today, providing some relief. On Wednesday, dense fog caused severe disruptions, making it difficult for people to commute to their offices.

IMD Had Predicted Light Rain

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted light rain in the morning and smog with moderate fog across most areas on Thursday. Dense fog was expected in isolated regions. Cloudy skies and similar weather conditions were anticipated during the evening and night. The maximum and minimum temperatures were predicted to be around 17°C and 10°C, respectively.

GRAP-3 and GRAP-4 Reimposed in Delhi-NCR

Due to dense fog, train and flight schedules were impacted. Several trains arriving in Delhi were delayed. Additionally, the air quality in Delhi-NCR deteriorated again, prompting authorities to reimpose GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) phases 3 and 4 restrictions on Wednesday evening.

29 Trains Running Late

According to Indian Railways, 29 trains heading to Delhi are running late due to foggy conditions in the national capital and northern India. Passengers have been facing inconveniences because of train delays.
