ABOUT

             The Department of Mechanical Engineering established in the year 2007. In the academic year 2007-08 with intake strength of 60 students, with the approval of AICTE, the Government of Tamilnadu and Anna University. From the academic year 2008-09, the student’s intake increased up to 120 considering the demand from the student community. We have energetic and dynamic Faculty for providing complete Engineering Education converting young individuals into Engineers, with both classroom and shop floor knowledge.

              The most versatile, challenging, exciting and broadest of all engineering disciplines deals with the design and production of tools, machines and all other Mechanical equipments to be used in industries. Mechanical Engineering is concerned with all types of machinery, their mechanism and function. Our richly integrated curriculum of theory and practice aims to develop Engineers with creativity and overall ability so that they can lead the world with their own capacity. Students travel through a balance of intellectual and practical experiences in this 4 year under graduate engineering discipline that enables them to address a variety of societal needs. The objective of the programme is to cultivate engineers who, with ethics for engineers as their base, have the ability to investigate overall phenomena including global and social environment issues.

              Our program will provide the essential knowledge and flexibility to the future mechanical engineers who indeed will play a leading role in the creation of the technology. Our laboratories are equipped with the needed equipments to provide the students with a hands-on-experience.
