Ahead of Delhi elections, Congress pledges 300 units of free electricity, gas cylinders at ₹500, and free ration kits under its “Inflation Relief Scheme,” aiming to outdo AAP’s 200-unit free electricity offer.
Congress Promises Free Electricity, Cheaper Gas, and Ration Kits in Delhi
New Delhi: Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, Congress has announced another set of promises. The party declared that under its free electricity scheme, citizens would receive 300 units of free electricity, compared to the AAP’s 200-unit offer.
Promise of ₹500 Gas Cylinders
As part of its “Inflation Relief Scheme,” Congress has pledged to provide gas cylinders at ₹500 along with free ration kits. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy unveiled these promises during a press conference held at the Pradesh Congress office. He introduced the fourth and fifth guarantees by the Congress for the Delhi Assembly elections.
Free Electricity Up to 400 Units
Reddy also assured that if Congress forms the government in Delhi, residents will not have to pay any charges for using up to 400 units of electricity.

The announcement was made in the presence of Delhi Congress in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin, state president Devendra Yadav, and other senior leaders.
