Bathinda District Magistrate enforces restrictions, banning dangerous tractor stunts, unauthorized sale of Pregabalin 75 mg, and public display or promotion of weapons. Orders remain in effect until March 31, 2025.
BATHINDA: District Magistrate Shaukat Ahmad Pare has issued orders exercising powers under Section 163 and has imposed various restrictions in the district including a complete ban on conducting dangerous stunts/stunts of tractors and related equipment within the district limits.
Wholesalers, retailers, chemists/owners of medical stores, pharmacies within hospitals or any other person shall not sell Pregabalin 75 mg without a valid prescription. Apart from maintaining proper record of purchase and sale of Pregabalin (up to 75 mg), the chemists/retailers shall also ensure to stamp the original prescription with details like trade name, date of delivery, number of tablets delivered.
No person shall carry arms in any fair, religious procession, marriage, procession or any other gathering within the territorial limits of the district or in the premises or premises of any educational institution. No member of the public shall brandish or display any sharp edged weapon/firearm etc. at any place within the territorial limits of the district.
According to the order, no member of the public shall upload any photo or video displaying or promoting weapons on social media nor post or share any text glorifying the use of weapons. No person shall sing any song or perform any drama at any function/event/event etc. which involves exhibition or promotion of weapons.
According to the DC, these orders will not apply to armed forces, police, home guards or other government employees who have weapons to maintain the security of the state and law and order, security guards in educational and commercial institutions, hotels, marriage venues. These orders will not apply to those performing duty and will remain in force till March 31, 2025.
