Neha Kakkar Breaks Silence on Melbourne Concert Controversy: Organizers Vanished, Left Team Without Pay or Food

Popular singer Neha Kakkar recently found herself in the middle of controversy after facing backlash for allegedly arriving three hours late to her Melbourne concert. However, her husband, Rohanpreet Singh, has come forward in her defense, revealing shocking details about the behind-the-scenes chaos that led to the delay.

Taking to Instagram, Rohanpreet urged people to refrain from quick judgments without knowing the full story. “Huge respect for my wife and the crew, who went on stage even after so much difficulty and chaos,” he wrote. In Punjabi, he emphasized the importance of understanding both sides before forming opinions.

Neha herself broke her silence, revealing that the real culprits were the event organizers who fled without paying her or even providing basic necessities for her team. “Do you all know that I performed absolutely free for my Melbourne audience? The organizers ran away with my money and others too. My band wasn’t even given food, a hotel, or even water. My husband and his boys went and provided them food,” she explained in an emotional post.

She further detailed how the sound vendor refused to turn on the equipment due to non-payment, causing severe delays. “Our sound check was delayed for hours, and I couldn’t even reach the venue on time. We didn’t know if the concert would happen at all because the organizers stopped answering my manager’s calls. Apparently, they were running away from the sponsors and everyone,” she added.

A video of the concert that surfaced online showed Neha visibly emotional as she faced an unhappy crowd. Despite the backlash, she reassured her fans that she would make the performance worth the wait.

Despite the adversity, Neha expressed gratitude to the fans who stood by her, saying, “Thank you to those who understood the situation and supported me.”
