The effect of the bandh was clearly visible from the morning itself.
Transport services halted: The operation of autos, tempos and city buses on the roads remained completely closed, due to which the common people had to face great difficulties in commuting.
Markets remained closed: The shutters of shops remained down in all the major markets. Even the retail traders did not open their shops.
Effect on private schools too: Due to examinations, many private schools remained open, but due to the Chakka Jam, parents themselves had to go and drop their children to school.
Effect was also seen in the Dargah area: Workers of Hindu organizations came out on the streets to make the bandh successful and also got the shops opened in the Dargah area closed.
A clear message has been given to the administration on behalf of the entire Hindu society that if strict action is not taken against the accused, the agitation will be intensified in the coming days.
