Delhi New Chief Minister,New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pravesh Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi seat, said that the party leadership will decide the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Pravesh Verma, son of former Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma, termed this victory as the victory of the people of Delhi and thanked all the voters. He said, “This is not only my victory, but the victory of the people of Delhi, who chose truth instead of lies, good governance instead of jumlabaazi and development instead of deception. I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the voters who expressed faith in me.”

Verma assured that a big change will be brought in Delhi under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. Nadda. He said, “This mandate clearly indicates that people want honest, transparent and development-oriented politics. We will serve the people with full loyalty and dedication.” Verma, a former MP from West Delhi, described it as “the beginning of a new chapter” for Delhi and vowed to build a bright future.

Pravesh Verma directly attacked Arvind Kejriwal and said that he did nothing for Delhi in the last 11 years. He alleged that “all development remained limited to papers and advertisements only.” Verma said that the people of Delhi have expressed confidence in the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and this victory is a victory of Modi’s development work.
Further priorities after Delhi Election wins by BJP
Regarding future plans, Verma said that his priorities will be cleaning of Yamuna, pollution control, employment generation, improving traffic system and developing infrastructure in villages and colonies.
It is worth noting that Pravesh Verma defeated Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi seat by a margin of 4,089 votes. Earlier, Kejriwal had won this seat in 2013, 2015 and 2020. After the electoral victory, Parvesh Verma and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the BJP leader who won from Rajouri Garden, visited Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and paid obeisance.
