Hisar News: An unprecedented scene was seen at Haryana’s Hisar Airport on Wednesday, when Indian Air Force fighter planes took off. This was part of a three-day training camp, where a team of 55 Air Force officers and pilots reached Hisar Airport.
This team includes about 18 pilots from Sirsa Air Force Station, who will practice here. Air Force officials spent time preparing for the first day, and now rehearsals will take place for the next two days. The program will run till February 7, in which the utility of the airport will be tested in emergency situations.
Why is the Air Force practicing at Hisar Airport?
Indian Air Force periodically looks for alternate airstrips, so that the possibility of safe landing during any emergency or war can be tested. According to former Air Force officials, if the enemy targets Ambala or Sirsa airbase, Hisar Airport can become a better alternate runway. This is the reason why the Air Force is conducting trial runs here and checking its technical aspects.
Strong rehearsal on 10,000 feet long runway
The 10,000 feet long runway of Hisar Airport is absolutely suitable for this exercise. This airport is spread over about 7,200 acres, but it has not yet received a license from DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation). After getting the license, domestic flights are likely to start from here to five states. This rehearsal of the Air Force is an attempt to test the technical and strategic capabilities of the airport, so that it can be used for military purposes in future.

The roar of the fighter planes was so loud that the attention of the city dwellers immediately went towards the sky. As soon as the planes took off, people came out of their homes and started watching the planes in the sky. Some school and college students were also seen standing near the airport and enjoying this exciting sight. This view of take-off and landing of planes was no less than an air show for the people.
Strict security arrangements by the Air Force
The security arrangements for this entire program have been kept very tight. No outsider can enter the airport without permission. A team of Air Force officials is inspecting the runway, location and other technical aspects. During this, the flight time from Hisar to Sirsa and Ambala Air Force Station is also being recorded, so that it can be assessed how quickly Hisar Airport can help in an emergency.
