Budget 2025: Kisan Credit Card loan limit increased, Makhana Board will be formed

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made an important announcement for farmers in Budget 2025. She said that the loan limit under Kisan Credit Card (KCC) will be increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. This decision will provide more financial assistance to farmers for farming and other agricultural work.

The government has also announced to give priority to self-sufficiency in pulses production, so that food security can be strengthened in the country. Also, special attention will be given to increasing employment opportunities in rural India.

Special relief for fishermen: Makhana Board and Special Economic Zone will be formed

The government has also made a big announcement in this budget in the interest of fishermen. The Finance Minister said that a “Makhana Board” will be formed for fishermen. This will promote makhana production and trade, which will benefit the people associated with this sector.

Apart from this, the government has decided to create Special Economic Zones (SEZ) to promote fish production and export. Under this scheme, modern infrastructure will be developed, which will strengthen the fisheries sector.

Increasing the loan limit of Kisan Credit Card and new schemes for fishermen will strengthen the agriculture and fisheries sector of the country.
