24 February: Guru Ravidas Jayanti
24 February is celebrated as Guru Ravidas Jayanti, the birth anniversary of the great saint and poet of the Bhakti movement. Guru Ravidas expressed his devotion towards social equality and justice.
26 February: Mahashivratri
The festival of Mahashivratri will be celebrated on 26 February this year. The Uttar Pradesh government has declared this day as a public holiday. Mahashivratri is considered a day of religious fervour and worship, and schools, colleges and government offices will remain closed on this day.
