Punjab Closed 28 January: The incident of breaking the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on the Heritage Street of Sri Amritsar Sahib has heated up the atmosphere. This incident has enraged many social organizations including the Valmiki community. An appeal has been made to close down in various districts of Punjab in protest against this. According to the information, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Phagwara and Moga will remain completely closed on January 28.
Earlier, Jalandhar and Ludhiana bandh was announced for January 28, but now a bandh has been announced in Phagwara as well. In Phagwara, Ambedkar Sena Mool Niwasi and Guru Ravidas, Bhagwan Valmiki and Dr. Ambedkar Sabha have called upon their supporters to gather at Ambedkar Park, Hargobind Nagar by 10 am. Along with this, it has been decided to completely close Moga district as well.
