Indian Illegal Immigrants: After deporting 104 Indians by America, now the process of sending back 487 more Indians has started. Amidst this development, India has expressed its serious concern about the possibility of any kind of mistreatment with illegal immigrants. According to the central government, 487 illegal Indian immigrants have been identified in America, who will be sent to India soon.
India’s strong objection, inhuman behavior will not be tolerated
Giving information on this issue, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that the Indian government has closely studied the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) shared by the US officials. In this, the process related to immigration and custom enforcement has been clarified. However, India has given a clear message to America that if any kind of inhuman treatment is done with the Indians being deported, then it will not be tolerated.
During the press conference, Vikram Misri said, “The US has informed India that deportation orders have been issued against 487 Indian nationals.” He also made it clear that if any kind of mistreatment is done with Indian citizens, India will take it up at the highest level and take immediate action.
Strict action will be taken against gangs promoting illegal migration
Along with this, the Foreign Secretary emphasized the need to take strict action against agents and networks promoting illegal migration. He said, “We need to take action against the entire system, which promotes illegal immigration.”
The Government of India has made it clear that every possible step will be taken to protect the dignity and rights of Indian citizens being deported from America. Also, the government is working towards ensuring that Indian citizens are not trapped in the trap of illegal immigration in future.
